The Pond that Chris and Kirk Built by Phone

Landscape designer Chris Johnson from the Washington DC area came out to volunteer on the house for a week. He designed and planted the front garden and back yard. Since the property has almost half an acre, which was mostly weeds, this was a huge challenge for Chris who is used to running a crew and not doing all the work himself. Besides planting, he dug trenches and installed sprinklers.
Chris started a pond feature. He described how to finish the pond and left for home.
Kirk Fisher, who was attending university classes when Chris gave the instructions, was not thrilled with the way the pond turned out so he took it all apart and started over with Chris' hole. Kirk called Chris, who was working on another site across the country. They talked on and off over two days, until Kirk was happy with the pond.
