Faux and mural artist Kim Schaffer tore down the old paneling and installed new sheetrock. She even learned how to install corner bead and "mudded" the room with layers of joint compound.
After painting in the mud like a fresco, Kim glazed the walls and applied a bamboo saying on the brick fresco. She painted the floor and then capped the room with a new bamboo ceiling and trim!
"There isn't a room in the house that Kim didn't help work on. She even hand painted a design on the pool deck to mimic the intricate Modello design applied to the pool floor!" - Jeanette Fisher

Kim learned a lot about construction volunteering on this Habitat for Humanity project.
Kim's husband and his father also helped Kim with hanging and finishing sheetrock.
Faux artist Christina Johnson's husband picked up the bamboo in San Diego and delivered it to the property, saving the family hours in driving time.
